The General Election on November 3, 2020 provides Arizona voters the opportunity to vote for Arizona judges up for “re-election”. However, how is an Arizona voter to know who is doing a good job and who should be “fired”? The attorneys at Rutila, Seibt & Nash can offer you some guidance.
The best place to inform yourself is by reading up the opinion of the Arizona Commission on Judicial Performance Review (“JPR”). The JPR is an entity, formed at the bequest of Arizona voters in 1972, which surveys information about judges in Arizona and votes on whether they meet judicial performance standards.
The commission establishes whether or not judges meet or do not meet established standards, and those outcomes are published and mailed out by the secretary of state.
The Arizona Commission on Judicial Performance Review has published its official findings just in time for the 2020 general election ballot. The results can be found online at https://www.azcourts.gov/jpr/.
We at RSN Law find that the judges we practice before perform an excellent job in providing the impartial administration of justice and do not render an opinion here on any specific judge or Justice. In the interest of securing an informed electorate, however, we urge you to review the information at https://www.azcourts.gov/jpr/ and educate yourself on whether or not to retain the judges on the November ballot.
Of course, should you have any questions or comments concerning a legal issue or dispute, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of our attorneys at admin@rsnlaw.com or call 480-712-0035.
