January 20, 2023 — RSN Law is issuing a consumer alert for ecommerce automation scams targeting small business owners and individuals looking for assistance with Walmart Marketplace and Amazon FBA stores. The firm has become aware of multiple companies making promises of easy setup and full automation for people looking to sell products on Walmart and Amazon.
Victims are reporting the companies were unable to get them approved for Walmart’s Marketplace and quickly transition to Amazon FBA as the solution. Many of these companies are requiring new customers to sign restrictive contracts and provide full authorization to use their credit card to purchase products and services. Victims have reported losses of more than $30,000 and significant impact to their credit scores.
